She's Got Me Spendin'...

Two days ago, ImprovEverywhere held their 9th Annual "No Pants Subway Ride." While they have yet to upload a video of that particular outing, please enjoy the past two years.

Some of the people aren't even surprised. My favorite reaction is the guy at 1:26.

Haha, there's like a bunch of little kids in that one, and those parents must be like "Well, we knew that when we moved to New York it was gonna be like this..."

One last thing. This is for anybody that thinks maybe there's no hope left for society. A cab driver in New York City drove 50 miles to return a purse someone had left in his cab. The owner was a woman named Felicia Lettieri. In the purse was travel money for Felicia and her six relatives, which ran to the tune of about $21,000. The cabbie found an address in the purse and drove to Long Island. Nobody was home. He left a note and his number. On top of all that, he refused a reward. Damn good man. I mean, sure, I would've returned the money, but I think I'd have wanted a reward of some kind... You can read that article here.

And thus, another episode of Ashes to Oranges comes to a close. Sorry you didn't get to see me eat a live shark. The pet store was all out.

I'm Just Not On the Ball...

Okay, I missed yesterday for two reasons: The internet was screwing up and I'm just plain lazy. So, I will once again post double today. I won't make missing days into a habit, I swear. So, let's start off with a rant.

Rant #95 – Nines and Twos Don’t Go Together
I was at King’s Island with my friend and I saw this really good-looking girl getting off The Monster. Next to her was seated a guy who looked like a cross between Carrot Top and a ferret. He had this Jew-fro thing going on and it looked ridiculous. I motioned to them discretely and told my friend to look. He said “Dude, she’s hot.” Then he saw who she was with and said “Dude, she’s with him?” I nodded. It made no sense. We watched them as they got off the ride and went out the exit, hoping that maybe they were brother and sister, or cousins, or anything other than a couple. We didn’t see anything that made anything definite, but we agreed that they definitely weren’t siblings. So here’s my question: How the fuck does a guy like that get a girl like her? It’s like Jessica Alba dating a chimpanzee. It just doesn’t make sense.

Now a video from the comedy group Elephant Larry.

This video actually taught me how to play Minsweeper... Yea...

This is an old video, but it's awesome. Improv Everywhere (I posted something by them before) is a brilliant group of people that set up situations to make people laugh. Most of the time, people don't know what the hell is going on, but they think it's cool anyway.

That's one of my favoites. One of YouTube's favorites, too. This went viral a year or two ago.

So, I know this commerical is old, but I saw it for the first time in a while yesterday.

In other news, I just got laid off. Which sucks. This economy, man, I'm tellin' ya... But I'm not gonna bitch about it... much... Here's an album to download. Two, actually. Kamelot released a two-part epic based on Goethe's "Faust." And it is epic indeed. In case you don't know who they are, Kamelot is a symphonic metal (meaning that it's melodic and atmospheric) band from Florida. But anyway, these albums do a great job at telling the story, but you don't need to know the story to understand the songs. So, here's Epica (the file is big, so it's in two parts: Part I, Part II) and The Black Halo. Listen and enjoy.

And that's it for today. I'll post some news and other stuff tomorrow. Peace.

I Think You're an Angel, Lzzy

Anyone ever heard of Halestorm? Well, you should, cuz they're awesome. Lzzy Hale is one of the greatest female vocalists I've ever heard. She kind of reminds me of Joan Jett. Now, my suggestion is to buy it, but I know a lot of you are like "Yea, fuck that." But you'll have to find a download link on your own, cuz all the ones I found were broken.

In other news, I saw District 9 last night with Chels (that's my girlfriend, for anyone who didn't know). Anyway, District 9 is probably one of the greatest movies I've ever seen. It's also one of the most original. I'm sick of movies based on books and video games and remakes and sequels and all this uncreative shit. This is based on an original script by Neill Blomkamp. District 9 is shot partially in documentary style and partially in standard drama style. This was a great concept. It flowed brilliantly. The acting (from a pretty much unkown cast) was top notch. The effects were great, the music was great. Go watch this fucking movie. Seriously. There are so many emotions, to the point where you forget this isn't actually happening and that some characters are from another planet. I have absolutely nothing bad to say about it.

On a minor note, 2012 looks like it's gonna suck. Everyone should boycott it.

Okay, more stuff. About a week ago, I found this really funny story online last week. How do you not realize that the guy in the casket isn't your husband/brother/cousin/whatever?

And here's a pretty cool video. It makes me laugh.

They really did get arrested, but when they explained themselves to the cops, the cops laughed and let them off with a $10 fine.

And that's it for today. Gotta go restock my inventory of awesomeness. Be back tomorrow. Peace, love, and rock.
